The Sport Fixed Height Basketball Goals provide a professional appearance at a reasonable price. With a 4"x4" 11 ga. steel post, the Sport Basketball Goal is 50% heavier than comparable goals, and its one-piece post design eliminates joint deterioration common in sectional posts. The Sport's extension arm is connected to the vertical post using two heavy-duty U-bolts, allowing the arm to be repositioned to any height along the post, despite being considered a "Fixed Height" goal.

Choose the Sport package that suits you best, with a range of basketball backboards and rims available. Furthermore, pole padding and backboard padding may be added to any Sport package for added protection.

Also available is the bolt-down version for an external installation option with the included square bolt bracket for securing to concrete instead of having to dig down and sink a post.

CONSTRUCTION

All steel pole components are welded using maximum penetration, continuous weld, MIG procedure.

EXTENSION ARM

Main 45 degree extension arm tube is 2"x3" rectangular 11 gauge wall steel tubing and provides a 24" extension from front of pole to face of backboard. Extension arm is constructed to allow rim bolts to pass through backboard and directly into extension arm for strength and player safety. Extension arm is secured to vertical post by means of two 4" zinc plated U-bolts. Additionally, two 1" round backboard braces support upper the corners of the backboard.

VERTICAL UPRIGHT

Vertical pole is one-piece 4" square (sectional posts not considered equal) with a minimum 11 gauge wall thickness and allows for burying 36" in concrete. Posts with thinner wall thickness are not considered equal. Posts intended to be buried less than 36" are not considered equal. Pole has a watertight vinyl cap to seal out moisture. For the bolt-down option, a 3/8" thick baseplate and 4 support gussets are welded at the bottom of the vertical pole to allow the unit to be installed via an anchoring system.

RIM

Flexible rim absorbs the stress of player contact. Nylon net included. 5/8" diameter.
